ANGOLA 2022
An unforgettable adventure!
In September 2022 Thomas took his 2014 Volvo XC90 D5 AWD to Angola on a 8 500 km round trip. The vehicle was modified to accommodate two roof top tents, auxiliary fuel tank with an extra 107 litres, 17"rims with 265/65/17 Bf Goodrich tyres and strengthened undercover engine plates, amongst the normal camping fridge, second battery, compressor etc etc. While he wasn't able to complete the whole Doods Akker (Death Acre) section due to a design flaw in the aftermarket base plates, he non the less managed to still see Angola and get a photo of the car on the Beach next to the Vanessa Ship Wreck. He will be back to complete in due course!
